Recruitment of Assistant Professor or Project Researcher
CSRN division, Center for Science and Innovation in Spintronics (CSIS), 
Tohoku University

Center for Science and Innovation in Spintronics (CSIS) at Tohoku University recruits a young researcher to engage in spintronics research using quantum materials such as Diamond NV Centers.

Job duty
A successful candidate will be engaged in research in collaboration with the principal investigator (PI) of the Collaborative Research Group for Spintronics Quantum Materials as well as members in the CSRN division in CSIS, Tohoku University. The successful candidate will conduct research on novel science and technology that combine spintronics devices with quantum materials such as diamond NV centers.

January 1st, 2023 or the earliest possible date thereafter.

Working style
Full-time (with term)
Term: 1 year. However, the contract will be renewed every year and may be extended until the end of March 2025, depending on the research achievements as well as the continued funding.

Qualifications
Ph.D. degree in relevant area.
It is desirable to have experience in experimental research on spintronics and magnetic resonance.

Treatment
Job Title: Assistant Professor or Project Researcher
Salary: Determined according to the regulations of the National University Corporation Tohoku University, taking into consideration past achievements.
Working style: Discretionary labor system for professional work (equivalent to 7 hours and 45 minutes per day)
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, New Year holidays (12/29-1/3)
Vacation: Annual paid vacation, special vacation (according to university regulations)
Social insurance: Join the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Mutual Aid Association, Employees' Pension, Employment Insurance and Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
