Center for Science and Innovation in Spintronics (CSIS）at Tohoku University seeks to hire tenured / tenure-track professors, who have excellent research background and are highly motivated to explore new frontiers of spintronics in collaboration with other researchers belonging to CSIS. Tohoku University was selected as one of the designated national universities by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in Japan, then CSIS was established in 2017 to strengthen spintronics research as one of the four core researches in Tohoku University. CSIS consists of four research divisions and those conduct high-level research aimed at innovation in science and technology by spintronics.

Job descriptions
Successful candidates will organize research groups at CSIS to conduct experimental or theoretical research on spintronics. CSIS consists of four research divisions (fundamental science of spintronics, spintronics materials, spintronics devices, and spintronics device integration technology). It may be desired that the successful candidates conduct their researches in collaboration with other research groups belonging to those divisions. There could be an opportunity to educate and supervise students at related graduate schools.
Qualifications
Ph. D or related doctor's degree.
Salary
Commensurate with experience and skills, in accordance with the salary regulation of Tohoku University.
